It is reported that China's first 50,000-ton tension jack towing and loading system developed under the lead of COOEC was delivered on April 29. With internationally advanced overall performance and domestically produced key components, this system marks a key breakthrough in China's offshore engineering equipment manufacturing capacity and is of great significance for improving the loading capacity of China's large-scale offshore oil and gas structures.
The delivered system consists of ten 1,000-ton tension jacks, four 1,000-ton booster jacks, a power station, a control system, and fixed anchor points. Based on the calculation of conventional loading friction coefficients, the maximum towing weight can reach 50,000 tons, equivalent to dragging nearly 40,000 family cars at one time. The jacks are made of high-strength alloy materials, with a tensile coefficient 20% higher than that of conventional materials and a loading speed 15% higher than that of similar international equipment. The system has been verified by BV (Bureau Veritas), and its overall performance has reached world's advanced level.
The R&D and manufacturing of large-tonnage tension jack systems involve technologies across multiple disciplines such as material mechanics, hydraulic control, and structural design, facing industrial challenges such as high-strength material stability, equipment lightweight control and high-speed synchronous control of multiple jacks.
COOEC, together with Liuzhou Ovimu Machinery Co., Ltd., overcame more than 10 key technologies, innovatively applied "diesel engine direct-drive and load-sensitive variable displacement pump + proportional valve control" and 5G IoT technology, and built a "one-center multi-terminal" intelligent control system, which can realize remote monitoring and maintenance and millimeter-level error control under high-speed working conditions, improve operation safety performance by 40%, increase operation and maintenance efficiency by 60%, and reduce energy consumption by 10%.
Over the past decade, COOEC has completed the towing and loading of about 300 structures, including thirty-four 10,000-ton structures. The installation capacity of China's offshore oil and gas platforms will be significantly improved with the commissioning of the 50,000-ton tension jack towing and loading system.
